Thanks to everyone who made it out to the Open House.  We are currently scheduled to close on the property tomorrow.  Pray for a smooth closing, there are a lot of moving pieces with a transaction like this.  With God’s help we look forward to making the announcement on Sunday morning.  Epic has hired W2A Architects to create plans for some of the improvements that we want and need to do with the property in order to facilitate our mission to the Lehigh Valley.  The new roof will be going on the week following settlement.  There is some remediation work that will need to occur with the pipes.  After that our primary focus will be to create a welcoming Education Center for the kids and cosmetic upgrades to the main gathering space and restrooms.  Our goal is to move the Epic Sunday services from the Banana Factory to the Epic Center on April 1st!

We’ve had a lot of people volunteer to help us with the project.  Some of the scheduling is still in the air.  But we’ll be doing demolition in the beginning of March.  Installation of floors and walls in the mid part of the month and painting towards the end of the month.  We’ll be working on the project 6 days a week and hosting some groups from other churches to help with the project.  If you can help us out with either construction or hospitality and haven’t already filled out a volunteer form please let us know.

As far as fundraising for the project we’re currently at 60% of our goal for the project.  We have a good number of supporters who have indicated that they would like to help us with the project but haven’t yet committed to an amount.  If this is you, make sure that you either talk to Rob or you can set up a one time or reoccurring donation here.  In addition to giving you can help us by telling others about the project; after all this is your project too!  If each of us found ten friends to help support the center, we would meet our capital goal.  To help you get the word out we’ve posted a copy of the Epic Center brochure here.
