It’s August. That means that school is starting and our college students will be returning.  We’re planning on giving them an Epic welcome with the following ministry opportunities:

College Survival Kits:

For our third year in a row Epic Church attended the Lehigh University Student Activity Expo.  We had the opportunity to speak with a number of students.  We had 63 Students sign up to receive the Epic College Survival Kits.  Of these students many were interested in learning more about epic events and a sizable number would like to connect with Epic.  Now We’ll be filling the kits.  If you’d like to help out we need people to buy the various items to fill the kit; from poptarts to popcorn and from pencils to erasers.  Each Kit will also include study tips, a gospel of John and an explanation of why we do what we do.

InterVarsity Student Fellowship Dinner September 13th:

Once a month the IV Fellowship at Lehigh gathers for a dinner at the Lehigh Dialog Center.  We have 6-8 people cook for up to 75 students.  You’re encouraged to stay and connect with the students during the meal.  This is a great opportunity see what God is doing on campus and to bless our students and ministry partners.

Adopt-a-Student:

We’re looking for some folks to adopt some of the college students.  This means getting together with a student for a couple times each semester to share a meal and to share life.  Sign up forms are available on Sunday’s or online (click here).  Talk to either Pastor Brian or Kristen Arestad if you’re interested or have questions.
